Coupon Book in Different Southeast Asian Languages

Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on October 21 that they have issued a coupon book for tourist attractions in different Southeast Asian languages for the first time in efforts to attract more tourists to Gyeonggi-do Province.

The organization and province published a coupon book in Thai in late September and a coupon book in Vietnamese and Indonesian in mid-October. These efforts were in response to tourists from Southeast Asia who did not have easy access to information about attractions in Gyeonggi-do Province due to a language barrier. In addition, the decision was also based on the positive response from the English version of the coupon book.

The latest coupon book will offer customized discounts that range from 10% to half price for attractions in the province that are popular among tourists from Southeast Asia, including Everland, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, Premium Outlets, and Petite France.

An official from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated: “We released a coupon book for each language in Southeast Asia to create added convenience for visiting the province,” and mentioned, “We are planning various marketing activities to attract more tourists from Southeast Asia to Gyeonggi-do.”
