I spent a weekend afternoon with my family in the park.
Nojeokbong Falls, one of the Nine Sights of Ansan, is Korea’s largest manmade waterfall.
The falls are made of natural stones at 133 meters wide and 23 meters high. The cool water falling from the top creates a magnificent view.

The parking lot is spacious, and the park has a cafeteria and rest spaces.
This urban rest area is loved by many citizens.
Nojeokbong Falls Park is a great place to enjoy culture since Danwon Art Museum is located right next to the park.
The loop trail is well established around the park. You can refresh yourself in the forest and enjoy different views every season.

You can see several wide wooden benches on the way to Danwon Art Museum.
This is a good place to stop and rest for a moment on your way.

Roses in full bloom must have been beautiful in the Rose Garden during the Rose Festival in May.
It was too bad I could see only a few roses since it was the end of the rose season.

I approached Nojeokbong Falls, which is made of natural stones and is Korea’s largest manmade waterfall, along the Waterside Deck.
The water falling from the top made everything around feel cooler.
Thanks to the waterfall, I could forget the summer heat for a little while.
My son reached out his hand to the water to feel the coolness.
The waterside deck is set up nicely so that you can feel the cool water falling from the top from close up.

I went up to the observatory to see the view of Ansan,
walking along the trail to the rear of the waterfall.
Beautiful flowers were blooming along the trail of the artificial falls.

I visited the park late in the afternoon, so the wading pool in front of the waterfall was not open. Kids can play in this wading pool in the summertime.
Opening hours of wading pool:
Open 10am-5pm
