‘UIWANG Sky-rail’ for a beautiful “flight” over the lake

UIWANG Sky-rail is a zip wire that offers the thrill of speed and flying through the air. It was named ‘Sky-rail’ to match the image of Uiwang, a special railroad zone. The ride starts from a 41-meter-high tower on the hill above the Wangsong Lake Campground. Riders go up to the observatory in an elevator to enjoy the panoramic view of the Wangsong Lake area taking pictures, and when it’s their turn, they go up to the deck upstairs. Following the instructions of the professional guide, they put on safety gear, take a deep breath, and wait for the countdown. With the departure signal, the thrilling ride through the air starts at very high speed, and they will surely be amazed by both the rapid speed and the fantastic scenery below their feet. The ride travels a distance of about 350 meters to the Uiwang Rail Bike Ticket Office. Uiwang, one of the major themed tourist destinations in the metropolitan area, is packed with exciting tourist attractions including Wangsong Lake, Rail Bike, Wangsong Lake Campground, and Sky-rail.

Adventure in the Forest ‘Dynamic Eco Adventure ZIPLINE in Yongin’

Offering thrilling experiences in the forest, Dynamic Eco Adventure ZIPLINE in Yongin is an adventure-themed park that consists of a suspension bridge connecting two trees, a zip wire, and other exciting play features. These exciting adventure facilities are divided into three courses for different levels ranging from children to adults. After following the instructions of the safety personnel, children are required to wear a helmet and safety gear to experience the Monkey Course or the Chimpanzee Course, which consist in climbing a tree using safety hooks, avoiding obstacles, crossing a log bridge, and climbing a rope to the opposite side to ride a zip wire in the forest. The courses will help develop children’s patience and spirit of adventure, and let them fully enjoy their freedom with nature.

In addition, the King Kong Course, which is recommended for Junior and High School students and adults, contains ascending and descending activities between trees at high heights. For those who fancy a more spectacular descent, a zip line is recommended. Zip liners can slide down through six courses from the top of the recreation forest. The last course, Albatross, offers the most thrilling experience.

‘Sports Monster in Hanam’, a new concept of sports theme park

Sports Monster is a new concept of sports and leisure theme park where visitors can use various play features and facilities even during the late hours after work, regardless of the weather for a certain number of hours at a flat rate. Users receive a wristband at the entrance that allows them to use the games and verify remaining hours of use. As there is often a queue for the most popular features, please check the Sports Monster Guide Map at the ticket office to use your time more efficiently.​

Sports Monster consists of 25 sports activities in four zones – Basic, Exciting, Adventure, and Digital. Of these, the Digital Zone is the most popular space, and its representative game is ‘Soccer,’ in which the player kicks the ball against the goalkeeper on the screen. Another popular game is ‘Baseball,’ in which the player becomes a legendary pitcher in a movie and faces the batsmen of the opposing team, enjoying the thrill of throwing the ball in the strike zone. Other interesting games include ‘Taekwondo’ which allows the user to kick the real sandbag in accordance with the character on the screen, and ‘ICAROS’, which is a simulation game.

‘Hantangang Sky Bridge in Pocheon’, a trek along a basalt canyon

The Sky Bridge is located in a canyon with columnar joints near the Hantangang River. Visitors can reach the Sky Bridge by following the spiral access road and crossing the canyon. Its upper part is made of transparent glass, giving visitors a thrilling view of the Hantangang River and the magnificent scenery of the basalt canyon far below their feet.

Diverse trekking courses are also available at the Sky Bridge, and of them, ‘Bidulginang Circle Course’ which includes Hantangnag Byeorut-gil and Meonguri Canyon is recommended. This course is well known for Korea’s only basalt canyon, so is appreciated for its unique geological features and magnificent landscape. The trekking course is about 6km long and takes about 2 hours. Furthermore, Bidulginang Falls, situated next to the Sky Bridge, is a great place to escape the heat amid picturesque scenery.

‘Roller Beat in Goyang’, a retro play with roller skates

Roller skating has become popular again since a TV entertainment program introduced this retro activity. Roller Beat in Goyang City, the start of this retro syndrome, offers a spacious track with colorful lighting at a reasonable admission fee that includes the safety equipment rental charge. Ever since Kim Gun-mo, a famous Korean singer-songwriter, appeared at Roller Beat in the Korean TV entertainment program My Little Old Boy, it has attracted many roller skaters, and other rinks benchmarked to it have been opened around the country, too.
