The park has some 33,000 trees – including pine trees and ginkgo trees – as well as 78,800 plants on an 11,9667㎡ area. Development was commenced in June 1992 and was completed on December 31, 1993. The park has some 50 art sculptures, sports facilities such as tennis courts, roller skate fields, and basketball courts, and cultural facilities such as playground and outdoor stage to provide relaxation and artistic inspiration.


It is also equipped with convenience facilities such as water fountain, washrooms, parking lot, drinking fountain, stores, and benches. It is used as a gathering place for political groups and social groups, but it also holds various concerts to relieve daily stress as well as unique contests and seasonal events. Nearby are Gwanaksan Mountain, Anyang Recreation Area, and Seoul Land, which can be reached within 10 minutes by car from Pyeongchon Station.
