Hyeminseo: Medical institution
  • Hyeminseo is a medical institution that had provided drugs, treatment, and education for female physicians from the Goryeo Dynasty to the Joseon Dynasty. It was built to film Maui, the drama starring Cho Seung-woo and Lee Yo Won and depicting a vet turned top physician.

On the way down from Hyeminseo is Jeonokseo (prison of Joseon). The structure served as the main background of Okjunghwa or the Flower in Prison, which details the story of a prodigy girl who was born in prison but got involved in a mystery. Visitors can enter into the circular black wooden prison cell and pose like a sinner for a special shot. Not far from the jail is Yeonmujang where warriors practiced their skills.

  • Located at the foot of the hill of the sets is a royal costumes center. Costumes of drama protagonists or traditional Korean outfits are available to be tried on and even photographed in at the studio. (KRW 20,000 for protagonist costumes, KRW 15,000 for traditional costumes, KRW 20,000 for studio photography)
