Anyang Pavilion, APAP, a festival space for artists
  • The APAP (Anyang Public Art Project), Korea’s only public triennial art festival, introduces diverse public art works including paintings, sculptures, architecture, videos, designs and performances created by deriving inspiration from Anyang’s geography, culture and history. Every three years, the whole of Anyang city becomes a public art gallery where citizens can appreciate the arts in their daily life with ease.

The Anyang Pavilion, the APAP’s representative work in Anyang Art Park, was the first work in Asia by Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira. The Pavilion is a public art center and the starting point of the docent tour of Anyang Art Park.

  • Anyang Art Park operates the docent tour between March and November. Reservations must be made at least three days in advance at the homepage of the Anyang Culture and Art Foundation. The Midday Tour, one of the popular docent tour programs, is held five times a day from Tuesday to Sunday. The English-language guided tour is available on the last Saturday of each month at 1pm (Admission: KRW 1,000).

What’s more, the park’s Moonlight Night Tour allows visitors to enjoy excellent artworks by global artists at night amid the Park’s beautiful lights (Admission: KRW 3,000 including lantern rental fee). The Midday Tour takes 90 minutes, while the Moonlight Night Tour and the English-language Guided Tour take about 80 minutes each.
