Petite France: The Village of Saint-Exupéry’s Little Prince
  • Petite France is a theme park fearing "Flowers, Stars, and the Little Prince" and a replica of a rural town in the Tours region on the Loire River in France. As the only place in South Korea built under an official international license agreement with the Saint-Exupéry Foundation in France, the park is home to the characters and scenes of Saint-Exupéry's novella titled The Little Prince and some romantic French-style buildings.

There are lots of things to see and do here, ranging from the Saint-Exupéry Memorial Hall with its exhibits on the life of Saint-Exupéry and his handwritten manuscripts, and a replica of a traditional French house from the nineteenth century, to an European Doll House showcasing some 300 Europeans dolls. Various performances including a marionette dance, and an orgol demonstration are given in various corners of the village, so be sure to check the guide map and schedules in advance.

  • To add to the fun of the visit, go to the ticket office where stamp cloths and postcard cards for the stamp tour are on sale. If you accumulate more than five stamps from the corners of the village and return them to the ticket office you'll receive a pretty postcard.

Or you could write a message to yourself, a friend or a family member on a purchased postcard and put it in the "slow postbox in Petite France" next to the Antique Flea Market, and the postcard will be delivered the following year (as domestic/international shipments are made at the end of December each year.)
