Wall of Commentary on South & North Relations: The History of Conflict and Reconciliation
  • This exhibition introduces the main historical events from 1945 to 2018, including the history of conflict and reconciliation between South and North, by period.

The display of photos is designed to show visitors how the two sister countries held a summit in 2000, engaged in exchange with each other until 2008, entered a 10-year-long standstill, and held another summit in 2018.

  • Laid out behind the main exhibits are photos showing scenes from significant events from the breakout of the Korean War and the ceasefire agreement to the summits of 2000, 2007 and 2018. The clay models arranged at the center reflect the reunions of dispersed families that took place on several occasions.

Above the models are actual lunch boxes and fruit provided by the North during those reunions, which are characterized by Korean-only product descriptions, unlike other food packagings marked in different languages.
