On December 14, 2004, Bucheon Bow Museum opened its doors with a collection of 240 items left by the late Kim Jang-hwan, Korean bow and arrow making master, as Intangible Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea No.

The Bucheon Bow Museum was founded with 240 donated items to commemorate the late Kim Jang-hwan, the first Korean bow and arrow making master, as Intangible Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea No. 47 and to pass the traditional culture on to future generations.
On December 14, 2004, Bucheon Bow Museum opened its doors with a collection of 240 items left by the late Kim Jang-hwan, Korean bow and arrow making master, as Intangible Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea No. 47. The museum holds a special exhibition every year with different themes relating to bows, and provides a wide range of hands-on programs to promote traditional culture. A Korean bow and arrow making master assistant of Intangible Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea No. 47 provides a variety of educational and hands-on programs such as bamboo bow making and Bow Culture Education & Archery.
