Minyeonghwan sacrificed his life for the nation resisting against Japan-Korea Treaty of 1905. The grave of Minyeonghwan was designated as the monument number 18 of Gyeonggi-do province. He left the will to the public, the diplomatic delegation, the king. Each contained to raise awareness of the matter, face the fact of the political invasion of Japan and help Joseon, to be appealed. He killed himself in his house.
