Hwaunsa is a branch temple of the second diocese of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is located at the foot of Myeokjosan Mountain in Samga-dong, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do and is a perfect temple for practicing asceticism while surrounded by nature. Hwaunsa also refers to a temple near Meju Valley, and the name Hwaun, meaning “Flower clouds,” is based on a legendary story claiming that flower clouds blossomed from the place where Buddha was teaching on the Vulture Peak assembly.

The program offers experiences of Buddhist culture and meditation at the temple. Participants can have a relaxing time away from a competitive society. They will also have an opportunity for meditation in search of true self, which has been forgotten in the midst of a busy daily life.

The time and program can be adjusted through consulting.
