He is a son of Ohuimun, the writer of the National Treasure No.1096 'Swaemireuk', and was taught by Song Hon. In the period of holding his public office ranging from King Seon-jo to In-jo, he assisted the higher officials and the King for the public. In particular, he went to Japan as an envoy and brought 150 captives, drew by Japan, normalizing diplomatic relationship with Japan.
