Opened in 1998 as part of the Yeoju Youth Training Center, the observatory is equipped with a 12-inch (305mm) reflective telescope – the largest one among the private facilities of its kind in the country – and a 14-inch (355mm) light Schumit-Newton-type catadioptric telescope. Visitors can have a look at planets, nebulas, and star clusters through a computer-aided astronomical telescope here.
