Hangaone – Hangwa Cultural Museum
Located in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do, Hangaone consists of a museum and an education center specializing in hangwa, or Korean traditional sweets. Visitors to the center can join participatory programs and make yugwa (deep-fried sweet rice cakes) and yakgwa (traditional honey cookies).
With the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, the city of Pocheon also strives to develop diverse hangwa and promote them as local specialties. A private lecture (70 minutes) is only available on weekends (Fee: KRW 20,000), with or without reservation.
