Gureumsan Forest Park is located in Haan-dong, Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Occupying an area of 674,465㎡, it is one of the Eight Sights of Gwangmyeong, which include Dodeoksan’s peak, Dodeokjeong Pavilion, daytime and nighttime view of KTX Gwangmyeong Station,
Anteo Eco Park, Yi Won-ik’s Head House and Gwangamdang Hall, Gwangmyeong Cave, Gwangmyeong traditional market, and Gwangmyeonghannae Stream (Anyangcheon). Currently, it is considered to have the highest level of phytoncide among 13 forest parks in Gyeonggido Province.
The hiking trails consist of four courses. Course 1 goes through Cheolsan 4-dong wild flower complex~Dodeoksan transmitting tower~Dodeoksan Peak~Bamil Eco Footbridge~Hanchigogae Overpass~Gureumsan Peak [5.1㎞, 110 minutes needed]. Course 2 goes through the Community health center~Garidae Plaza~ Gureumsan peak [2.8㎞, 60 minutes needed], Course 3 goes through Anseo Elementary school~Seodoksan peak~ Seodoksan Gallimgil Trail~Gahaksan peak~ Gureumsan peak [5.9㎞, 120 minutes needed], and Course 4 passes through Yi Won-ik Memorial Hall ~ Seodoksan Gallimgil ~ Gwangmyeong Cave~ Gureumsan peak [4.3㎞, 80 minutes needed]. On the peak is Gureumsam Observatory, where visitors can see downtown Gwangmyeong, Gwanaksan, Sanmaksan, Cheonggyesan, Gwanggyosan, Seongchaesan, Surisan, and Seodoksan mountains at a glance.
