Opened in 2008, the museum is holding exhibitions in various fields such as photography, Western painting, Eastern painting, and crafts. The green grass in front of the museum and the mountains surrounding the building look very harmonious. The first floor consists of the main exhibition hall and the café exhibition hall, whereas the second floor has the 3rd exhibition hall. The museum maintains exhibition halls uniquely by using natural lighting.
The name “Aurum” was chosen out of a wish to promote communication between artists and visitors and to create harmony with nature. Wolmun-ri has thick forest and beautiful scenery, so many people have visited this place since the olden times. Taking a stroll around the museum will provide a refreshing experience amid the hot summer heat.
