The Municipal Astronomical Science Museum in the northern part of Gyeonggi-do is located in Pocheon Art Valley. Visitors can foster scientific creativity through challenging experiences that are not available at home or school. They can learn astronomy easily in an interesting way as they personally touch and experience amazing exhibits.
The core of astronomical programs is the 12m-diameter dome screen. Visitors can watch videos on constellation and black holes for 20 minutes. On clear days, they can observe solar spots and red flames during daytime from the astronomical observation room or observe the moon and asteroid clusters during nighttime for 30 minutes.
Earth On System: Projects images of various phenomena occurring on the Earth on the surface of the sphere.
Seasonal constellation experience: Offers experiences of representative constellation of each season by using the hand operation recognition system.
Space exploration simulation: A simulation offering space travel to solar planets and surrounding celestial bodies.
