Special memory made at a Swiss Village in Korea, Gapyeong Edelweiss full of exotic air

Europe where there are beautiful streets, fairy-tale buildings, and signboards that are like piece of art, is one of popular and romantic places for taking wedding selfies for Koreans. In reality, however, it is not easy to hop on an airplane right away. For these people we recommend Gapyeong Edelweiss in Korea instead. It has Switzerland as theme and people will be able to enjoy the feeling of being in Europe. Feeling an atmosphere of Europe in Korea would weird but fresh and fun at the same time for you, wouldn't be?

Wedding Selfie Point 1. Swiss Village in Korea that is full of exotic air

Edelweiss Swiss Theme Park, a place that is drawing attention as a European village after other theme park in Korea; German Village in Namhae, Mediterranean Village in Asan, and Petite France in Gapyeong. Just like a place with Switzerland — the country of Heidi, Girl of the Alps — as theme, a simple rural village is located in the middle of a mountain like a scene from a painting. The clock tower that is seen right at the entrance serves as the ticket booth and Swiss theme center. Passing here, you can see buildings decorated with murals on pastel-colored backgrounds from the entrance of the village. These buildings are various theme centers and museums, so you can take photos while slowly looking around. One thing to look out for is that there are some private sites inhabited by actual people, so quietly pass by red “keep-out” signs if you see them.

Wedding Selfie Point 2. The best place for taking the most European photos

Once you enter the village, there is only a single road, so if you walk while looking around, you will naturally come out of the village after going around it once even if you don’t mind the order of the tourist attractions. Among the sites, there are photo zones that you shouldn’t miss if you want a European-style photo — it’s the Fountain Plaza and the trail in front of Edelweiss Plaza. Despite the small size of the fountain plaza, which is located in the middle of the village, it has sophisticated sculptures and beautiful scenery, serving as a good site for taking cute photos. The Edelweiss Plaza is located at the end of the village. The trail, which stretches to the village entrance along with the scenery of Gokdalsan Mountain and European buildings, boasts as if a scene where Heidi might come out and play at any moment.

3. Forever our love. “LOVE” Plaza
The outdoor theater, which is located downward from the ticket booth, connects to the trail coming down from Edelweiss Plaza, so visit it last after going around the village. Beside the outdoor plaza is the Love Plaza with a big heart and the sculpture with the letters “LOVE.” It’s a romantic photo zone that is recommended for couples who take wedding selfies. Take as many photos as you want and go up the stairs, and you’ll see That’s Coffee, the café that you saw when you entered the village. The outdoor table here shows the scene of an open-air café in Europe. Order a cup of coffee and take a photo like a lovely European couple taking a brief rest after walking down the street.

It item - Bern Bear doll mask
Bern Bear Museum, one of the multiple theme complexes, is a place with the theme of bear, the symbol of Bern, the capital city of Switzerland. On the second floor is a doll mask of Bern Bear as it's the mascot of Edelweiss Swiss Theme Park as well. Wear the mask and take photos with actions or poses that you haven’t tried before. Whatever you do, you’ll look cute and lovely.

Must see – Café That’s Coffee and Wish Tree
At Café That’s Coffee on the village entrance is a wish tree. This tree, which also appeared on the last scene of SBS drama Remember, is hung with papers where people wrote their wishes. Like the character in the drama, sit by the window where sunlight comes in and take a wedding selfie with the colorful tree as background. If you want to hang a wish paper with the couple’s wish, go to the Love Propose Museum.

Must try – Self-camera directing
Those who love to take photos still get nervous when taking wedding photos. In that case, act like you two are really taking selfies. Focus on the cell’s screen and take selfies as usual without thinking that you are taking photos with another camera. You’ll be able to get more natural and pretty photos.
