Gyeonggi-do Province and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization offer a program titled “Wonderful! Porcelain Culture Tour” in relation to Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale (Apr. 22 – May 28), Gyeonggi-do’s representative festival, and surrounding tourist attractions of the province.
As a spring festival of Gyeonggi-do, Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale consists of various events and programs held in Yeoju, Icheon, and Gwangju in Gyeonggi-do.
Aside from the Ceramic biennale and local festivals using the Gyeonggang Line, the “Wonderful! Porcelain Special Tourist Train,” which offers a surrounding theme tour, will be held for four times (April 29, May 3, 6, and 13). On the train that runs between Pangyo Station and Yeoju Station, various programs will be held for 30 minutes under different themes per session. The tour course consists of Yeoju Porcelain Biennale Festival, Silleuksa Temple, and Insect Museum.
Buses run between tourist sites to ensure the convenience of visitors. The tourist train can accommodate 200 visitors per session and 1,000 visitors for 5 sessions in all, and participants get a souvenir mug.
