Korean Makgeolli Festival
The Korean Makgeolli Festival, where visitors can see all kinds of makgeolli (rice wine) from all over Korea, will be held from 10am to 5pm between October 8 and 9 at Ilsan Culture Park (in front of Jeongbalsan Station on Subway Line 3). It will show the characteristics and health benefits of a wide variety of makgeolli made in different regions of Korea. During the festival, traditional cultural events, congratulatory performance, free tasting of famous liquor, and a makgeolli tasting fair will be held. Makgeolli promotional booths will be operated as well. In addition, auxiliary events such as writing of family mottos, folk games for children, and makgeolli drinking competition will be offered.
