Historical Korean Drama Festival at Korean Folk Village
Korean Folk Village is holding a historical drama festival from September 24 to November 13. Celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, it is Korea’s only festival held under the theme of historical drama. For the experience-oriented event of becoming Hwang Jini, who was a famous giseng (female entertainer) during the mid-Joseon Dynasty, visitors can try the splendid beautiful costume of giseng and have their photos taken at the photo zone. They can also enjoy the historical drama festival more realistically as they try on the costume of Gumiho (nine-tailed beautiful female ghost) and Chuno (The Slave Hunters). The festival also features the exhibition of “Map of Historical Dramas” in artistic form. The reproduction of major filming locations of historical dramas will be presented, and unique calligraphy created by using the contents of historical dramas will be exhibited. During the festival, visitors in Korean traditional costume can purchase free-pass tickets at up to 50% discount. If they upload their photos on SNS, they will receive a giveaway gift through a raffle.
