26th Mugunghwa National Flower Festival
The 26th Mugunghwa National Flower Festival will be held in the plaza of the Temporary Palace at Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon. The annual festival, hosted by the Korea Forest Service since 1991, takes place at a time when the flowers are in full bloom and aims to promote the beauty and excellence of Mugunghwa (rose of Sharon) as the national flower. Closing every evening and bursting back into flower in the morning, Mugunghwa is the “perservering” and “everlasting” flower in the language of flowers. Citizens and tourists can bask in the beauty and wonders of the festival, which extends throughout the peak of the Mugunghwa season.
