Yangpyeong Autumn Festival 2015
Offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy grilling and featuring autumnal agricultural products, the Yangpyeong Autumn Festival is held for 92 days between September 2 and December 2.
This autumn festival was planned by Sumi Village, the heart of agricultural tourism; 365 days’ worth of festivals is held to promote Yangpyeong’s water and agricultural products. Aiming at becoming one of Korea’s representative festivals, this annual festival is designed to allow visitors to collect and obtain various ingredients such as chestnuts, sweet potatoes, cabbages, catfish, eels, pork, Korean beef, duck, and retro snack for grilling over firewood or charcoal according to their taste.
The festival also offers diverse experience programs including Fish Hunt (catfish, eels), Sumi Steamed Bun Making, All-Terrain Vehicle Experience, Water Bike Experience, Visit to Reed Forest by Amphibious Carriage, Reed Forest Adventure by Raft, and Aromatic Candle and Air Freshener Making as well as Collecting Duck’s Eggs and Collecting Insects.
