Historical Korean Drama Festival 2015
Oct. 3rd – Nov. 22nd, 2015
The Korean Folk Village holds the 4th Historical Korean Drama Festival from October 3 to November 22. This year’s festival has expanded its experience programs, changing from “a watching and visiting type” to “a participating and enjoying type.” The festival provides various hands-on programs with the theme of Korean historical dramas throughout the village, and visitors can closely enjoy historical dramas being filmed during the festival. Traditional art performances along with fusion performances will take place at the festival as well as a b-boy show with Gugak (traditional Korean music) with famous historical drama OSTs as background and a welcome performance of 12 Zodiac animal characters at the village entrance. Surrounded by magnificent beautiful scenery and formed like a village of the Joseon period, the festival site has a sense of realism; thus making it unique among other drama shooting sets.
Participants can enjoy various special hands-on programs such as hand painting, meet and greet with fans, and autograph signing with historical drama stars. The Korean Historical Drama Award, which selects the best actor in the year’s historical dramas, will serve as a venue where foreign and local Korean drama fans can enjoy together during the festival.
