Gwangneung Forest Festival

The Gwangneung Forest Festival, which will be held in in front of a thousand-year old Bongseonsa Temple in the enchanting Gwangneung Forest filled with rare plants, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year as an ecological cultural festival that promotes harmony between the forest and people.
In particular, the Gwangneung Forest Path, which has been designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, is a natural treasure trove rich with natural ecology. It is a special area where visitors cannot normally access but will be opened during the festival. Visitors will be able to appreciate nature while walking along the paths surrounded by many flower species, wild plants and trees. During the festival, various activities will be organized, along with performances in the forest. A music concert, family program, a photo exhibition of specialty produce and a plant exhibition related to Gwangneung Forest will be held as well.
