Travel Destinations with a Muslim Prayer Room in Gyeonggi-do Province

Gyeonggi-do, which is said to surround Seoul like the ring of a doughnut, is filled with places of outstanding natural beauty and many exciting things to see and enjoy just waiting to be explored by visitors. In spring, cherry blossoms everywhere create a vivid, colorful atmosphere. If you are a lover of outdoor activities, the west coast and various waterparks will provide you with nice playgrounds in summer. In fall, you can feast your eyes on the beautiful hues of autumnal leaves everywhere. You can spend any energy remaining from your outdoor summer activities on Gyeonggi’s ski slopes in winter. Furthermore, many interesting places in Gyeonggi-do have been used as shooting locations for popular TV dramas and movies, attracting many visitors.

In recent years there has been an increase in the number of Muslim visitors to the province. The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is doing its best to help them feel at home during their stay in the province, paying attention to the fact that they need to eat Halal food and require a suitable place for their prayers. There are now over 160 million Muslims in Southeast Asia. As such, the following traveler destinations provide a prayer room for Muslims: EVERLAND and the Korean Folk Village in Yongin, Petite France in Gapyeong, the Skinanniversary in Paju, the Woongjin Playdoci in Bucheon, and One Mount in Goyang.

Lost Valley in EVERLAND, which is a mega-sized theme park, boasts an assortment of thrilling rides and a safari tour. The experience of a drive-through animal safari where you can see more than 150 endangered animals as well as lions and tigers will remain forever in your memory. The resort’s other attractions include flower festivals in spring and fall, masquerades, moonlight parades, and firework displays.
