Diverse attractions and beautiful surroundings have made the garden appear in numerous TV dramas (My Love from the Star, Boys before Flowers, Deep-Rooted Tree, City Hunter, and Master’s Sun), commercials, and movies, attracting many international visitors thanks to the popularity of Hallyu (Korean Wave) across the world.

In winter, the garden hosts the Lighting Festival, a state-of-the-art lighting show in which dazzling light dances in tune to music, thanks to the connection between light and 3D sounds.

This year’s festival theme is “Byeokchoji, Light Dances!” and winter outdoor plays. During the day, a huge pond (10,000m2) will provide visitors with an opportunity to enjoy sledding, curling, arrow-throwing, Yutnori (a popular traditional game), and Jegichagi (a popular outdoor game), capture smelt and trout, fly kites, and spin tops. The festival also offers other fun programs in which visitors can make candles, paint pottery, and roast and eat potato or sweet potato.

Between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., dynamic, splendid light shows unfold and the 150m-long Firefly Wow Tunnel at the entrance of the festival venue greets visitors. Visitors can write wishes on an elegant lantern and hang it along the tunnel.

The Music Garden hosts performance art through which lighting gently dances to the tune of music. The garden also houses diverse photo zones surrounded by large Christmas trees and various animal and plant sculptures and fall foliage covered with LED lighting create an elegant atmosphere for visitors.

The Garden of Light boasts Fountain of Light, Glob of Light, and other unique attractions. The Aurora Plaza creates a wave of light thanks to the connection between trees decorated with one million bulbs along 100m and 3D sounds.
