My Love from the Star Special Exhibition


The film set of the wildly popular Korean drama, My Love from the Star, offering a mysterious love story between Do Min Joon and Cheon Song I, is reproduced in Kintex, Goyang. In the drama, the two figures develop a serendipitous meeting into serendipitous love. The exhibition describes the process of falling in love through multi-stage concepts: Start, Chance, Meeting, Heartbeat, Yearnings, Destiny, Love, and Memories. The exhibition showcases the original film sets like Do Min Joon’s and Cheon Song I’s house as well as other diverse exhibits and on-site facilities.


Period: 10a.m. – 7p.m., September 5, 2014 – August 31, 2015

[Exhibition Details]


Intro Zone – Departure

This section is home to the Photo Zone where visitors can take pictures with Do Min Joon and Cheon Song I. Visitors can also experience the Time Travel Gate and alien’s clothing worn by Do Min Joon.

Zone 1- Chance

This section shows exhibits like palanquin, street, and Hanyang Draper House of the Joseon Dynasty, describing the serendipitous meeting between the two figures. The section also exhibits the ornamental hairpin worn by young Cheon Song I.

Zone 2- Meeting

This sections offers the intro video of the drama showing the flow of time Do Min Joon spent on the Earth, Gangnamdae-ro Boulevard as viewed from the apartment balcony by Do Min Joon and Cheon Song I, and the apartment lobby where Room 2301 and Room 2302, in which the two figures lived, are located.

Zone 3 – Heartbeats

Here, visitors can take lively pictures with the two figures, using the chroma keying, a special effects technique. A photo zone is also located in the apartment balcony, home to numerous affectionate love scenes. Petite France, a theme park known for the kissing scene between the two figures in the drama, is also reproduced here. The section also exhibits the N Seoul Tower where the two figures dated, Jangsado Marine Park where Do Min Joon took Cheon Song I travel through time after his identity as an alien was revealed in public, and Pocheon Gungmangbong Peak Natural Recreational Forest where the two figures kissed surrounded by snow.


The Main Zone reproduces Do Min Joon’s and Cheon Song I’s house. In addition, it offers the My Love from the Star Photo Exhibition, 3D Experience Zone, and Time Slice where visitors can experience simultaneous shooting by 20 cameras.
